Many stories are emerging on the web about dishonest acai berry trials perpetrators (the exception by far, not the rule). And many more are emerging question the claimed health benefits of the fruit (which, marketing hype aside, is a decent, well-rounded source of nourishment), the most common comment being that the “jury is still out” on acai berry trials.

In the western world. the “jury” is still out on ayurveda too, which in India is their primary medical science. with a history thousands of years longer than western medicines. So when someone from the west says that science still hasn’t proven one or another health benefits of acai berry trials, it doesn’t mean those benefits aren’t real and true.

And if these people are so bent on seeing scientific proof of one of these purported acai berry trials benefits, here’s one for them: At the University of Florida, antioxidants extracted from acai berries caused cancer cells to – get this – kill themselves. If that’s the first official western scientific research on acai berry trials, I think it bodes well for future studies, despite what cynics and holdouts say.
